Today I decided I wanted to make a different Valentine's card for my grandson, Max because he is really into dinosaurs right now. I just bought the new QuicKutz dinosaur die and decided I couldn't wait until his birthday in May to use it. I also found the giant button at JoAnn Fabrics today along with the Jolee palm tree and the card just came together. I used a couple of different Cuttlebug embossing folders and found a nice shiny black brad in my Halloween stash for the dinosaur's eye. So simple, but I think he will love all the texture and the best part, no stamping at all! The green and dark pink papers are Stampin' Up from the Raspberry Tart DP pack that just arrived today.

ReplyDeleteI love this card! The colors are great and especially nice for a child's card. I really like the textured background too...it becomes part of the card instead of just being a surface for the rest of the embellishments. I hope max was thrilled with his Valentine!
